Druidism has just been recognised as a religion by the Charities Commission in the UK. But why does any religion need the Charities Commission to recognise it? It is not up to any organisation to tell you what is religion and what isn't. It s all about what the individual wants to personally believe in.
The Church of Gothology is for anyone who likes anything termed as 'Gothic'. Gothic Culture, Gothic art, Gothic literature, Gothic clothes etc and believes that being Gothic is so important that it becomes a religion in itself and the Gothic Spirit is therefore very real and bona fide and so becomes the Gothic religion.
Millions of people worldwide are interested in the paranormal, haunted houses, UFOs, biorhythms, palmistry tarot, runes and the like - the list is endless. Many people love the night and the moon. Just think of how many romantic songs have been written about the moon. Some cultures see the moon as a woman or a goddess, while others see 'the man in the moon'.
Gothic people have their own iconic, religious dress code - black clothes, black or bright, dyed 'crazy colour' hair and for ladies, heavy make up with red lipstick and lots of smoky eye shadow. But you do not need to walk the walk to talk the talk. If you are interested in the Third Dimension then you have at least a little bit of Gothic in your soul.
